Flight Attendant Salary in 2026: What the Listings Actually Pay

The median flight attendant listing posts $79,477 a year. The interesting part is the spread: the top quarter of the cabin market pays more than double the bottom quarter, and nearly all of that gap is spelled private jet.

On August 28, 2026, there were 239 open flight attendant listings posted on WingmanPro. Only 26.8 percent state a pay range, the worst disclosure rate of any aviation role, so every figure here describes the quarter of the market willing to print a number. Among those, the median is $79,477 and the middle half runs from $58,240 to $187,125. That is not a typo. The 75th percentile of flight attendant pay is $187,125, and the reason is a market most applicants never look at.

What the airlines post

Airline cabin listings with a stated range post a median of $77,168. Airline flight attendant hiring runs in waves: a carrier opens a class, collects tens of thousands of applications, closes the window, and the posted market goes quiet again. What stays continuously posted tells you who is genuinely short-staffed right now.

Breeze is the most aggressive cabin recruiter in the country, with 29 open listings, posted under two different spellings of its own name, one of which carries a trademark symbol. United's 13 include a listing restricted to German speakers only, which is as clear a map of understaffed routes as an airline will ever publish. And two international carriers, Wizz Air and Riyadh Air, are recruiting hard on the US market ahead of expansion.

The private jet premium

The corporate and charter cabin is a different economy. Among the 35 corporate cabin listings open right now, the operators that print real numbers print startling ones: Clay Lacy Aviation's cabin listings post a $187,500 median, and Jet Aviation's dedicated business-jet cabin roles post $115,000. These are Gulfstream and Global cabins, one or two principals, catering you plate yourself, schedules that appear at 9 pm, and pay that airline crews wait fifteen years of seniority to touch.

A word about the widest range on the board: one large charter operator posts its flight attendant roles at $50,000 to $500,000 a year. That is technically a pay range in the way that 'somewhere on Earth' is technically an address. We include it in the data because the rules say we must; we suggest you read it as 'negotiable'.

Why so few listings say a number

26.8 percent of cabin listings state pay, against 48.1 percent for aviation overall. Airlines argue their pay scales are contractual and well known. Maybe. But in a market where the corporate cabin posts $187,500 and the board's overall median is $132,000, a silent listing does not read as discreet. It reads as a lower offer. The listings that print the number are winning the applicants who can do arithmetic.

Questions people actually ask

Do flight attendants make good money?

The median posted cabin salary is $79,477, below the $132,000 aviation-wide median. The exception is business aviation: private jet cabin roles post $115,000 to $187,500 medians at the operators that state pay.

Which airline pays flight attendants the most?

The honest answer is that most airlines do not post pay, so no ranking built from listings can be trusted. Across the airline cabin listings that do state a range, the median is $77,168. The reliably high posted numbers are not at airlines at all; they are on private jets.

How much do private jet flight attendants make?

Posted corporate cabin roles run from roughly $63,750 at the entry end to a $187,500 median at the top operators. The job differs too: small cabins, VIP service, irregular schedules, and travel that actually stays interesting.

Methodology

Snapshot of flight attendant and cabin crew listings posted on WingmanPro on August 28, 2026, matched by role and title. Pay figures are medians of posted ranges, midpoint of each range, annualized with the board's own conversion factors, outliers excluded outside $20,000 to $2,000,000. Employer counts group obvious name variants of the same company. Refreshed monthly.
