Our client, a pioneer in agricultural technology, is seeking an innovative Agricultural Drone Operations Specialist to join their team in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. This role is essential for integrating cutting-edge drone technology into modern farming practices, providing clients with high-resolution aerial data for crop monitoring, analysis, and management. You will be responsible for piloting drones, processing flight data, and translating findings into actionable insights for agricultural professionals. Key Responsibilities Plan and execute aerial surveys and data collection missions using advanced drone technology. Pilot drones safely and effectively in various agricultural settings, adhering to all FAA regulations. Operate and maintain drone hardware, sensors, and associated equipment. Process and analyze aerial imagery and sensor data (e.g., NDVI, thermal, multispectral). Generate detailed reports and visual data products for clients, highlighting crop health, field conditions, and potential issues. Collaborate with agronomists and farm managers to interpret data and provide recommendations. Stay current with advancements in drone technology, agricultural sensing, and data analytics. Ensure all flight operations comply with safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and training on drone operations and data interpretation to internal teams and clients. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in drone piloting, preferably in an agricultural context. Possession of a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is mandatory. Experience with various drone platforms and sensor payloads (e.g., multispectral, thermal, LiDAR). Proficiency in drone flight planning software and data processing software (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, ArcGIS). Strong understanding of agricultural principles and crop management. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings clearly. Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity, involving both field operations in and around Las Vegas, Nevada , and office-based data analysis and reporting.
