Location: Jackson, MI Onsite (Local candidates will be considered.) Duration: Until Jun 2027 (with a possibility of extension) Key Responsibilities Conduct BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) drone-in-a-box operations from the Drone Operations Center. Operate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for inspections of utility infrastructure, including power lines, pipelines, and substations. Perform pre-flight inspections and ensure equipment readiness. Collect, document, and report infrastructure inspection data. Assist with UAS equipment maintenance and minor troubleshooting/repairs. Follow FAA regulations, safety procedures, and company operational guidelines. Required Skills Basic knowledge of drone/UAS operations and maintenance. Ability to read and follow flight plans and operational procedures. Strong attention to detail for data collection and reporting. Good verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot License (Required). Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience or interest in utility inspections, drone operations, or technical fieldwork.
