About the Opportunity

Join a leading aerospace services organization supporting the U.S. Air Force's KC-46 CASPER MAC Program. As the Head of Repairs, you'll oversee critical repair operations that help maintain the mission readiness of the growing KC-46A Pegasus fleet. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced aerospace professional who excels in repair management, vendor coordination, and process optimization within a fast-paced defense environment.

Responsibilities

Manage the complete repair order lifecycle for 837 NSNs, from order creation through closure.Monitor daily repair queues, vendor turnaround times, and RTAT deadlines.Escalate repair orders exceeding Day-20 RTAT thresholds.Coordinate repair status updates between AvSight and CAVAF systems.Manage FAA Part 145 repair vendors, including qualification, performance, and quote negotiations.Support proposal development with repair estimates, vendor quotations, and capacity planning.Lead Beyond Economical Repair (BER) evaluations and government approval submissions.Develop exchange pool inventory strategies and optimize spare parts utilization.Maintain accurate repair documentation and support audits and compliance reporting.Lead, mentor, and develop the Repair Management team.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense repair and overhaul operations.Experience working with FAA Part 145 repair stations and vendor management.Proven ability to manage repair turnaround schedules and ensure defense contract compliance.Strong leadership, organizational, and data management skills.Ability to obtain access to Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting KC-46A or other U.S. Air Force aircraft component repair programs.Familiarity with DoD supply chain and invoicing systems.Experience using aviation ERP systems such as AvSight.Knowledge of FAR and DFARS repair contract requirements.Experience supporting IDIQ or MAC defense contracts.Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.
