Our Flight Training Department is seeking a highly qualified, dual-rated EMB-120 / SA-227 Instructor to join our Flight Training Team. This role is primarily instructional, supporting ground, simulator, and aircraft training across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is a seasoned aviation professional with strong instructional capabilities and the flexibility to operate in a dynamic, multi-base training environment. Dallas TX based, but requires significant travel. Ground instruction conducted in Dallas, simulator instruction conducted in Houston and Paris, France, and in-aircraft instruction conducted at various Ameriflight bases throughout the United States

Responsibilities

Conduct ground school, simulator, and flight training for new hire pilots, transitioning pilots and recurrent training for currently qualified crewmembersFacilitate online/virtual training sessions as requiredEnsure compliance with all FAA regulations, company policies, and training standardsEvaluate pilot performance and provide constructive feedback and documentationSupport curriculum development and training program enhancementsMaintain standardization across training platforms and locationsProvide line coverage as needed during peak operational needs, or when not engaged in training dutiesRequirements

ATP Certificate3,000 TT2000 PIC500 hours XC500 multi PIC500 turbine PIC200 hours instrument100 hours nightExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel extensively, both domestically and internationallyMust be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorshipCurrent Passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictionFirst Class or Second Class MedicalEnglish ProficientMust meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background checkMust have and maintain a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteriaNice-to-haves

Previous experience in EMB-120 and/or SA-227 aircraft strongly preferredPrior Part 121 or Part 135 airline training experienceDemonstrated experience as a check airman, instructor pilot, or training captainExperience with simulator instruction environmentsFamiliarity with advanced training technologies / LMS platformsPrevious involvement in training program development or standardizationBenefits
