Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified individuals within our Flight Operations organization. This position will be located at Ellsworth AFB, SD with initial onboarding and training located at another CONUS location prior to location assignment.

Key Responsibilities
Leads the daily operations of the aircraft team to include leading, managing, motivating, developing, and engaging a team of managers, aircraft mechanics, and technicians in a dynamic environmentOversees maintenance servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines to ensure that aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flightEnsures customer maintenance requirements are metSchedules maintenance and inspectionsReleases aircraft for flightRecommends procedure changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspectionsConsults manufacturers manuals for specifications and determines feasibility of repair or replacementConducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operationsCoordinates with customer and support agencies on all constraints and risks affecting critical path milestonesDevelops, tracks, updates, and reports status of product/requirements for contracted work to program leadershipEstablishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resourcesCollaborates with local customers on routine and max level effort maintenance events and schedule changes to support aircraft maintenance operationsParticipates in maintenance meetings with the customer and provides maintenance status briefings at the customer’s requestWorks with functional and program leadership to ensure proper staffing and performance goalsActs as Facilities Lead and Site Manager

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of military or civilian aircraft maintenance experience; or a Master’s degree with 5 years of military or civilian aircraft maintenance experience3 years of management experienceMust demonstrate strong interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skillsMust be able to travel up to 25% of the timeMust be able to travel to various locations for initial training for a minimum of 24 weeks prior to relocating to the permanent locationMust be able and willing to work on an aircraft flightline year round Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include alternate/second shifts, extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a yearYour ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company

Primary Level Salary Range: $130,600.00 - $195,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
