Senior Aircraft Safety Engineer

To support aircraft-level safety assessments and certification of advanced integrated avionics, the full-time Senior Aircraft Safety Engineer will develop safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Assessments and Fault Tree Analyses, while working remotely or in a hybrid capacity in Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain aircraft- and system-level safety assessments for integrated avionics and cockpit architecture Perform Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Assessments, and Fault Tree Analyses in accordance with SAE ARP4761 and ARP4754A Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate system interactions and hazard effects, translating safety objectives into design requirements

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in aircraft systems safety, airworthiness, or avionics certification Hands-on experience with safety assessments per SAE ARP4761 and ARP4754A Experience in developing aircraft- or system-level safety analyses, including FMEAs and Common Mode Analyses Strong understanding of integrated avionics systems and their interactions Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS for safety requirements traceability
