What you do
Routes, installs, terminates, and secures wiring harnesses, connectors, electrical components, and avionics systemsInstalls avionics racks, LRUs, instrument panels, and supports aircraft power-on, functional testing, and troubleshootingPerforms self-inspection and ensures compliance with approved work instructions, quality standards, and applicable regulationsLearns and applies Pilatus avionics installation standards in Switzerland and transfers technical knowledge to SarasotaSupports development, standardization, and continuous improvement of US avionics/electrical assembly processesMentors and trains newly hired electricians/avionics technicians, serving as a technical reference during ramp-upOperates with high autonomy and sound technical judgment, leading early issue resolution and continuous improvement in safety, quality, and complianceWhat you bring
High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in aircraft avionics or electrical installation OR 2-year technical degree with 6+ years of relevant aircraft avionics and electrical experienceFAA A&P license preferred but not required with strong avionics/electrical backgroundDemonstrated experience in wiring diagram interpretation; crimping, soldering, and connector installation; and precision electrical and avionics assemblyExperience interpreting technical drawings, work instructions, and quality documentationExperience mentoring or informally training others is a strong plusWillingness to work across multiple assembly stations and adapt to changing prioritiesProficient in basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work in restricted spaceWhat we offer
