Role Description The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in West Chicago, IL. This role is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the charter fleet, including inspections, repairs, modifications, and component replacements in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and systems issues, documenting work performed, and ensuring all maintenance records are accurate and up to date. The technician will collaborate with supervisors and other team members to identify maintenance priorities, maintain a safe and organized work environment, and support aircraft availability and reliability. The role may also involve assisting with maintenance planning, participating in quality assurance initiatives, and staying current with technical publications and FAA regulations.
Qualifications
Strong aircraft maintenance skills, including experience working with corporate aircraft types and adherence to regulatory and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience on Hawker 750/800XP/850 and/or Gulfstream G200/G280/G500/G550/GVII aircraft.Knowledge of aircraft systems, such as hydraulics, electrical, and avionics, with the ability to perform system checks and repairs.Experience with powerplant operations and maintenance, including engines, fuel systems, and related components.Proficient troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and system issues efficiently and accurately.FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate required. The ideal candidate will hold an FAA Inspection Authorization or be able to obtain one by start of employment.Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance documentation, and engineering drawings.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety and quality standards.Ability to work on-site in a hangar environment, including standing, lifting, and using tools and equipment as required.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse maintenance team.
