About the position
This role involves leading a team in performing safe and efficient fueling/defueling services for aircraft. The Lead Aircraft Fueler is responsible for training new employees, ensuring accurate fuel transaction accounting, performing daily quality control checks on equipment, and maintaining equipment in clean and functional condition. This position also ensures the correct loading and balancing of fuel, performs defueling operations as directed, and assists other Aircraft Fuelers to ensure duties are performed professionally and safely according to Company/Carrier standards.
Responsibilities
Lead team members while performing fueling/defueling services in a safe and efficient mannerDrive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraftTrains employees during on the job training and/or airline specific training or assigns employees to work with experienced agentResponsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactionsPerform daily Quality Control checks on equipmentMaintain equipment in clean and functional conditionEnsure the correct loading and balancing of fuelResponsible for defueling aircraft as directedComply with attendance standardsAssist Aircraft Fuelers in their assigned areas to ensure Fuelers are performing their duties in a professional, safe and efficient manner, according to Company/Carrier’s standardsRequirements
Prior Aircraft Fueling experience requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageMust possess a valid US driver’s licenseMust pass pre-employment color vision testMust pass pre-employment drug screenAbility to proficiently read, write and speak EnglishHandle fueling carts and fueling hoses which will require you to lift and move up to 70lbsAbility to perform basic math calculationsMust pass background check and obtain US Customs sealMust be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidaysExperience Required 1 year: aircraft fuelerNice-to-haves
Prior experience preferred including possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred)Benefits
