Job Overview We are seeking a Vice President of Aviation to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Vice President of Aviation, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our clients’ ever-evolving project needs. This opportunity can be located in any of our US Ardmore Roderick locations but will require frequent travel to the Chicago area and as needed to ensure growth of our overall aviation portfolio.

Key ResponsibilitiesProvides overall direction, leadership and growth strategies for Ardmore Roderick’s aviation practice through a combination of technical expertise, people leadership, client engagement and strategic business development that leads to solutions that reimagine infrastructure to improve lives and communitiesDrive continued growth of the aviation practice, aligning department initiatives and long-term practice plans with the firm’s strategic vision, staffing strategies, revenue goals and overall growth targetsEnsure staffing levels are sufficient, relative to contractual commitments, schedules, constraints and project profitability Expand the aviation portfolio through a combination of client-facing interaction, aviation community presence and strategic positioning that ensures the firm’s growth in existing and new marketsLead and support business development efforts, including proposal strategy, pursuit planning, teaming opportunities and client managementServes as the primary client relationship aviation executive at a leadership level, exhibiting a deep knowledge and understanding of the client and the industry as a wholeBuilds and maintains long-term relationships with new and existing target clients to increase new business opportunities and cultivate repeat wins Increase Ardmore Roderick’s brand visibility and relationships by representing the firm at national conferences, aviation industry events and with a consistent presence on key committees and leadership boardsSupport recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, performance feedback and staff development to meet current and future workload demandsAct as an overall leader who helps the aviation project teams succeedFoster a safety culture within the aviation practice that prioritizes team members’ well-being and maintains an injury-free environmentUnderstand and mitigate risk regarding our aviation practice’s overall portfolio and day-to-day operations Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or applicable area of focus Minimum of 15 years of overall experience on large-scale aviation programs and projects Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading an aviation-centric business sector consulting firm where you were responsible for all things in this sector, including P&L management, EBITA, budget forecasting, staffing and staff growth and development Strong background in aviation, civil engineering or construction management with the ability to provide high-level technical oversight and guidanceDemonstrate an expert ability in crafting responses to RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, on-calls for design or construction projects, programs and have experience with multiple types of projects and program delivery to these various proposals Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, business development and practice growthExcellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levelsHave a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal formsPossess and use exceptional organizational skills that will enable you to lead efficiently and effectivelyPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, business management or project managementExperience managing a large capital program BenefitsWe offer Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans401K, Paid Maternity Leave, Competitive PTOEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and more Sponsorship and relocation are not available for this opportunity.

Salary Range: $230,880-291,200, Ardmore Roderick is providing the compensation range that the company believes it might pay and/or offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
