I started in 1994 and I want to be precise about what has changed, because vague nostalgia helps nobody. The open hostility is mostly gone. The assumption that I am not the pilot is not. And the uniform still does not fit, which after thirty years I find genuinely funny.

The uniform thing is such a small stupid daily reminder that the default was set without you. Mine has been tailored twice and still pulls at the shoulder.
