Upgrade timing, since new hires keep asking me in the hallway. Mine was fourteen months on reserve then two years right seat. It is moving faster right now in the eastern bases and slower in Denver. Ask the recruiter for the current number and then ask a line pilot for the real one.

The recruiter number and the line pilot number have differed at every airline I have worked at since 1994. It is not dishonesty, it is that they are measuring different things.
