We are eleven controllers short in my area and have been for two years. Six day weeks are normal now. I am not going to tell you it makes anybody sharper. If you get a slower response than you expected on frequency this year, that is the reason, and it is not because we stopped caring.

Ops control is in the same shape. The staffing conversation never reaches anyone who can fix it because it does not photograph well.

Airport side too. Three of us are doing what five people did in 2019 and the airfield does not know the difference until it does.
