Someone asked what instructing pays. Honest version. I bill six to eight hours a day, get paid for about four, and the rest is briefings, debriefs, and rescheduling weather cancellations. I would still tell anyone to do it. Go in with your eyes open.

The unpaid ground time is the number nobody puts in the flight school brochure either.
