Simulator technician, eleven years. When the box goes down at 0500 there are six crews behind it and a training footprint that does not move. Last week it was a motion actuator, the week before a projector lamp. Nobody has ever thanked a sim tech, and honestly the silence means it is working.

Four years teaching in the box and I have never once thanked a sim tech. Fixing that now. The silence does mean it is working.

projector lamp at 0500 with six crews stacked behind it is a specific kind of pressure that nobody outside maintenance sees
