Eleven years of this and people still ask when im going to get a real job. Today I talked a nervous flyer through her first flight since 2019, ran a medical with a doctor onboard, and kept 174 people calm through 40 minutes of holding. Real enough for yall?

The cabin runs the airplane and the flight deck just points it. I say this to every new FO I fly with.

Corporate side gets the same question in a nicer uniform. Nobody asks a nurse what she does all day.
