Cargo hiring is open at basically every freight carrier right now and the applications are not coming. Same pay band as the passenger side, better schedules than people assume, and a fleet that is not going anywhere. I think it is a marketing problem. Nobody grows up dreaming about boxes.

Nobody grows up dreaming about boxes and yet every freight pilot I know is happier than every passenger pilot I know.

It is a marketing problem. Cargo shows up at zero career fairs and then wonders where the applicants are.
