Systems Engineer (Avionics / Aerospace)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the development and certification of safety‑critical aerospace systems. This role involves leading system-level design, requirements engineering, and safety analysis activities across the full product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in avionics systems, certification standards, and embedded systems development, along with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, quality, operations, business) to achieve product performance, cost, and quality targetsDefine, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements for product development and R&DLead system architecture development, requirements flow-down, validation, and verification activitiesDrive system development processes aligned with industry standards (e.g., ARP4754)Perform and lead System Safety Analysis (FMEA, FTA, Common Mode Analysis, SEU, reliability predictions per ARP4761)Support certification and compliance activities for aircraft control systemsDevelop and review technical documentation including proposals, reports, and proceduresInvestigate and resolve technical issues using structured problem-solving techniquesSupport Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities across engineering, operations, and business groupsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S)Plan, prioritize, and execute work to meet project schedules and budgets🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with systems engineering processes (ARP4754)Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, and DO-160 standardsHands-on experience with:Requirements development, validation & verificationSystem architecture & designEmbedded systems & avionics integrationProficiency in C++ and CAN (Controller Area Network)Experience with modeling & simulation tools (e.g., Simulink)Understanding of circuit analysis and power electronics fundamentalsKnowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ARP4754 / ARP4761 safety processesKnowledge of DO-178C certification programsExperience with requirement management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS)Exposure to aerospace certification environmentsITAR Compliance Requirement
