PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire an experienced Structural Mechanic . In this role, youll perform advanced structural assembly and sheet metal work that directly contributes to the safety, quality, and performance of cutting-edge aircraft. What Youll Do As a Structural Mechanic, youll work with minimal supervision to complete complex structural assembly tasks while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include: • Perform structural assembly, fitting, drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication on aircraft components and assemblies.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, lofts, sketches, and operational specifications to complete precise installations.

• Assemble, align, fit, and rivet aircraft structures using specialized tools, fixtures, clamps, and fastening equipment.

• Remove and replace fasteners without damaging surrounding structures.

• Fabricate and install sheet metal parts while connect skilled professionals with exciting opportunities that help shape the future of aerospace. Through our partnership with an industry-leading aerospace manufacturer, youll contribute to innovative aircraft programs while working in a collaborative, safety-focused environment where quality craftsmanship is valued working with adhesives, sealants, composites, and specialty materials.

• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure defect-free workmanship before final inspection.

• Perform repairs and rework using Discrepant Material Tags (DMTs), Material Review Requests (MRRs), and Production Change Orders (PCOs).

• Maintain accurate production documentation, logs, and job records.

• Assist and mentor fellow team members by interpreting engineering drawings and sharing technical expertise.

• Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives while maintaining a clean, organized,

• Properly use and maintain company tools, equipment, and ground support equipment.

• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency.

• Coordinate work between shifts and communicate effectively with teammates and leadership.

What Were Looking For • Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum of 4 years of structural assembly experience .

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

• Strong knowledge of structural assembly, sheet metal fabrication, drilling, riveting, and aircraft repair techniques.

• Skilled in close-tolerance work using specialized hand and pneumatic tools.

• Basic computer skills and shop mathematics.

• Ability to work with composite materials, adhesives, sealants, and specialty aerospace materials.

• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work stands, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and work any assigned shift.

• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality and safety.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing or aircraft assembly experience.

• Experience using Solumina and Smarteam manufacturing systems.

• Q-Stamp certification.

• Experience mentoring or assisting less experienced mechanics.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

Pay Details: $28.75 per hour
