What Will You Be Doing?
An experienced accountant performing assigned month end accounting functions at an advanced level, year-end audits and special projects. This position will be fully responsible for the management of the aircraft maintenance monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, including suggesting improvements to the existing process and maintaining proper SOX documentation. Included in this position’s maintenance responsibilities is oversight of the accounting for our engine maintenance agreements, which includes complex estimation and a high attention to detail.
This person will directly partner with the operations contacts to ensure maintenance events are accurately being reflected in the financial statements and that the business’s needs are being met.
Essential Functions
• Prepare journal entries for month-end closing.
• Prepare and analyze monthly general ledger account reconciliations.
• Complete monthly and quarterly balance sheet and income statement analytics.
• Document accounting processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Other Functions
• Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audit requests.
• Special projects/continual process improvement
• Completion of technical accounting memos for routine or non-routine transactions as needed
Qualifications
• 2-4 years of applicable previous accounting experience
• BS in Accounting
• MS in Accounting or MBA preferred
• Certified Public Accountant, preferred
• Month-end close experience
• “Big 4” experience preferred

• Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills
• Ability to work well with other team members and other departments
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
• Ability to work with strict confidentiality

Work Environment
Typical office environment adequately heated and cooled. Flexibility to work from home during COVID-19 pandemic.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 - Please note: this role will close on or before 10/31/26.
