The Sales Account Executive is responsible for developing high-value customer relationships, delivering commercial growth, and representing Delta's world-class brand across corporate, agency, and industry channels. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to understand customer business objectives and translate Delta's products, services, and network advantages into meaningful customer value. Working closely with cross-functional teams across Delta's global organization, the Sales Account Executive identifies growth opportunities, develops customer-focused solutions, and drives sustainable revenue growth while strengthening customer loyalty and market presence in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of corporate accounts, travel agencies, and strategic partners to achieve revenue, market share, and premium revenue goals. • Develop and execute account strategies that strengthen customer relationships, increase loyalty, and generate sustainable business growth. • Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, relationship building, and market development activities. • Conduct business reviews, sales presentations, and customer meetings to communicate Delta's value proposition and strategic initiatives. • Negotiate and maintain commercial agreements and solutions that support customer objectives while delivering strong business results for Delta. • Monitor emerging digital distribution trends, technologies, and analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations to enhance sales performance and customer engagement. • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor strategies, marketplace developments, and customer travel trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risk. • Partner with internal stakeholders, including Revenue Management, Global Sales, Marketing, Airport Customer Service, and Sales Development teams, to deliver seamless customer experience and maximize business results. • Represent Delta at customer, partner, industry and community events to support brand visibility and customer engagement. • Identify, resolve, and escalate customer issues, while providing feedback for continuous improvement.
