The Quality Control Inspector role at Atlas Air Worldwide is a pivotal position focused on ensuring the airworthiness of the company’s aircraft fleet. Reporting directly to the Manager of Quality Control & Aircraft Records, the inspector is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, validating compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies, and authorizing the release of aircraft for service. This role requires an individual to conduct detailed inspections following rigorous maintenance program specifications, perform re-inspections of corrections, and engage closely with both internal teams and external vendors to guarantee the highest standards of work quality. The inspector also plays an essential role during heavy maintenance checks by auditing all related documentation and maintenance activities to ensure procedural compliance and thoroughness.
