Full time Pipeline patrol pilot needed in St. Louis, MO or surrounding areas. Base of operations to be determined.
Job involves operating a single-engine aircraft at 500' A.G.L. in busy airspace and varying weather conditions while performing a high-quality pipeline patrol. Aircraft being used are Cessna 182' and 172's, all flown as a crew with an observer. Additional duties include creating patrol reports after daily or weekly patrols are completed, participating in the company safety meetings and programs, cleaning and keeping the aircraft in good condition. Coordinating with MNT vendors and company MNT to schedule inspections and services required.
This position usually can be completed Monday-Friday but may involve weekends and holidays depending on customer needs or emergencies. Flight schedule varies dependent on weather and maintenance conditions. All patrols are flown VFR during the day. Normal weekly flight time will vary between 15-25 hours weekly, and can usually be completed in 3-4 days dependent on weather and maintenance.
Pay is negotiable dependent on experience. Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance provided by the employer with paid vacation after probationary period ends.
Commercial Pilots License with Instrument Rating required. Cessna 182 or 172 pipeline experience preferred. Successful candidate will also be within a maximum of one-hour commute of the base and local candidates are highly preferred.
