PC12 Captains are responsible for the safe operation of company aircraft in accordance with all applicable Transport Canada Regulations, Wasaya Company Policies and the Wasaya Airways LP Company Operations Manual
Responsibilities • Operating and navigating aircraft • Choosing safe and efficient flight routes • Performing aircraft inspections before and after flying • Communicating with the required agencies and employees • Ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, crew, and aircraft • Analyzing flight plans and weather conditions • Calculating fuel and managing aircraft systems • Filing mandatory paperwork and checking pre-flight documentation • Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace. • Perform and uphold Wasaya's Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers. • Any other related duties as assigned
Requirements • A minimum of 2000 flight hours • Graduates from an Aviation College degree or diploma program • Preference given for applicants with two crew turbine experience • Valid Transport Canada Commercial License • Valid Transport Canada Instrument Rating • Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical • Canadian Passport or Permanent Resident Card • Must be able to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card) • Must be able to travel to the US and meet TSA approval for Simulator Training • Preference given for applicants who possess a current PC12 PPC. • Preference given for applicants with previous PC12 experience. • Preference given for applicants who possess an ATPL (Note: Pilots whose ATPL is suspended due to a Group 3 instrument ride will be deemed eligible) • Preference given for applicants who possess: 2000 hours TT, 500 hours PIC, 100 hours on Type • Preference given for applicants who possess: 2 years' experience in IFR operations • Preference given for applicants with Northern Gravel Operational Experience • Travel is required. • Weekend and evening work required. • Hazards of the job: noise, dust, fumes etc. • Outdoor and indoor work required. • Ability to lift or move up to 70lbs. • Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
