LOGMET LLC is seeking an experienced UH-60 Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) to support U.S. Army aviation operations at Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), Arizona . The Maintenance Test Pilot is responsible for conducting maintenance test flights, functional check flights, ground operational checks, and related flight activities to verify the airworthiness and proper operation of assigned UH-60 Black Hawk aircraft following maintenance, inspection, repair, or modification. The successful candidate will work closely with aircraft maintenance personnel, quality control inspectors, flight operations personnel, and Government representatives to identify discrepancies, evaluate aircraft performance, and ensure aircraft are safe and mission-ready before release for operational use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Conduct UH-60 maintenance test flights following scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, inspections, component replacement, or aircraft modifications.
• Perform general and limited maintenance test flights to determine aircraft airworthiness and verify proper operation of aircraft systems.
• Conduct ground operational checks, engine run-ups, taxi checks, hover checks, and other required functional checks.
• Evaluate aircraft handling, performance, engines, flight controls, hydraulics, electrical systems, avionics, drive systems, and other applicable aircraft systems during test flight operations.
• Determine aircraft airworthiness in accordance with applicable Army technical publications, maintenance manuals, test-flight procedures, contract requirements, and company procedures.
• Conduct thorough preflight and post-flight inspections associated with maintenance test operations.
• Review aircraft maintenance records, logbooks, inspection documentation, and discrepancy status before accepting an aircraft for test flight.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document aircraft discrepancies discovered during ground or flight operations.
• Provide clear technical feedback to maintenance and quality-control personnel regarding aircraft deficiencies and required corrective actions.
• Complete required maintenance test-flight check sheets, aircraft records, flight records, and maintenance documentation.
• Calculate and verify aircraft weight and balance and aircraft performance data as required.
• Review weather, NOTAMs, airspace restrictions, range requirements, and other flight-planning information before flight.
• Prepare and file flight plans when required.
• Coordinate flight activities with Yuma Proving Ground flight operations, range control, air traffic control, maintenance personnel, and Government representatives.
• Conduct aircraft recovery, ferry, or repositioning flights when assigned and qualified.
• Participate in maintenance troubleshooting activities and assist maintenance personnel in isolating aircraft system malfunctions.
• Support aircraft acceptance, quality assurance, and return-to-service activities.
• Maintain required pilot qualifications, medical certification, flight currency, and proficiency.
• Ensure all flight activities are conducted in accordance with applicable Army, FAA, Government, contract, safety, and LOGMET requirements.
• Promote a strong aviation safety culture and immediately identify or report conditions affecting flight or ground safety.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to maintenance personnel and other aviation team members when required.
• Perform additional aviation or contract-related duties within the employee's qualifications as assigned.
