Pay: $105,000–$140,000 per year
Mustang Aviation is seeking an experienced, professional pilot to join our team as Chief Pilot for our Part 135 operation based in Pierre, South Dakota (KPIR).
This is a full-time leadership and flying position primarily operating our King Air C90 and B200 aircraft on passenger charter missions throughout the United States. Our operation also includes Cessna 208 Caravan freight services.
The Chief Pilot will oversee flight operations, pilot training and standardization, regulatory compliance, and the safe, professional operation of our charter and freight fleet.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Must meet the applicable Chief Pilot qualification and experience requirements of 14 CFR 119.71(d) • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings • Must be qualified to serve as PIC in at least one company aircraft before designation as Chief Pilot • Must meet applicable Part 135 PIC qualification and experience requirements • King Air C90 and/or B200 experience • Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate, as appropriate • Strong instrument flying skills and sound aeronautical decision-making • Ability to successfully complete company training and Part 135 checking requirements • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills • Professional attitude and commitment to customer service • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Pierre, South Dakota area
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate • Previous Part 135 Chief Pilot or flight department management experience • Significant multi-engine turbine PIC experience • Current or recent King Air C90/B200 training • Cessna 208 Caravan experience • Experience overseeing pilot training, standardization, and regulatory compliance
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the designated Chief Pilot for Mustang Aviation's Part 135 certificate • Act as PIC on King Air C90 and B200 charter operations, as qualified • Provide operational oversight of passenger charter and Caravan freight operations • Oversee pilot qualifications, training, checking, and standardization • Ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations, company manuals, and operations specifications • Coordinate with the Director of Operations, maintenance personnel, and other departments • Promote a positive, professional, safety-focused flight department
