Purpose: Responsible for delivering simulator and ground-based training for U.S. Air Force and Allied KC-46 pilots and maintenance personnel. Includes pre-briefs, debriefs, performance assessment, and ensuring students meet training standards across Initial, Upgrade, Requalification, and Refresher courses.
Key Responsibilities: Instruct pilots and maintenance personnel using training devices including classroom systems, part-task trainers, WST, and KC-46 aircraft. Deliver tanker and receiver operations training; identify and remediate student learning issues. Conduct initial and recurring Engine Run training for maintenance personnel. Provide briefings, debriefings, and student counseling to support proficiency. Analyze student performance data and prepare review sessions. Serve as KC-46 Pilot SME and maintain high instructional and technical knowledge. Support courseware updates, training procedures, and operate the student management system. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or four years of combined education and experience.
Minimum Experience: Qualified Receiver AAR Pilot Flight Instructor or Receiver AAR ATS Instructor within the last five years. Minimum 200 receiver aircraft or equivalent simulator hours (at least half in the aircraft). Tanker AAR Instructor experience highly desirable. B-767 type rating preferred.
