The College of Aviation at Western Michigan University invites applications for an academic year, tenure-track faculty position. The College offers three distinct academic programs, providing faculty members the opportunity to teach within a specialized area of expertise or across multiple disciplines. Major Duties:

- Teach up to 12 credits in the fall and spring semesters for a total of no more than 24 credits of regularly scheduled courses, or the equivalent, over an academic year. - Fulfill ongoing department curriculum needs of both a maintenance and developmental nature. - Provide leadership and service to academic and professional societies through roles in governance, editorial work, conference coordination, and committee participation to support their effective and impactful operation. - Support university operations through committee service and consultation with campus and community stakeholders. - Assist students with course advising, consulting, and individual mentoring. - Encourage and support student involvement in student organizations and internships. - Engage in scholarly activities, including research, writing, and publication appropriate to the faculty member’s discipline or interdisciplinary work.
