The In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) Test Automation Engineer is responsible to support and maintain the end to end (E2E) test environment and perform associated system test activities with a focus on test automation. These activities include the development of system test plans, processes, and procedures in order to integrate, verify, and validate system functionality and performance. This position serves the system test engineer who will directly perform testing and integration activities to ensure a seamless product launch.
This person will work in coordination with the IFEC GM E2E System Test, the IFEC Chief System engineer, the IFEC Chief Architect, and the IFEC Program Management team to ensure that the IFEC products are both verified and validated. • Define IFEC E2E system test automation based • Develop IFEC E2E system test plans, procedures • Participate in design review meetings to ensure testing specifications and results • Support Customer Experience, IT, and TechOps teams with IFEC system launches • Support and maintain System Integration Lab(s) (SIL) that represents the aircraft system(s) • In support of the test manager • Analyze system requirements and architecture docs to create test procedures/plans • Install software on test lab equipment & troubleshoot any issues • Create system test automation using various software tools • Perform system tests & report results • Coordinate with other Delta departments that provide support for the products tested • Participate in on-wing testing
