Veco Jets is an established and professionally managed Part 135 owner/operator with occasional charter operation seeking an experienced Gulfstream G650 Captain to join our flight department. Our operation maintains industry-leading safety standards and holds recognized third-party audit certifications. This position is based at Van Nuys Airport and requires candidates to reside within two hours driving distance of the airport. We are seeking a safety-focused pilot with exceptional leadership, customer service, and operational decision-making skills who thrives in a high-performance flight department environment. Veco Jets conducts both domestic United States operations and worldwide international missions, and candidates must be qualified and capable of operating globally. Responsibilities • Serve as Pilot in Command on domestic and international Gulfstream G650 operations conducted under Part 135 regulations
• Conduct safe, compliant, and efficient worldwide flight operations in accordance with FAA regulations and company SOPs
• Coordinate all aspects of international and domestic trip planning, including weather, routing, customs, overflight permits, handling, catering, and passenger accommodations
• Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and customer service
• Work closely with company dispatch, maintenance, and operations personnel
• Maintain aircraft readiness, cleanliness, and operational documentation
• Participate in recurrent training, safety programs, and operational meetings
• Support the company’s strong culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence
Qualifications Required • ATP Certificate
• Current First Class Medical
• Valid Passport with unrestricted international travel capability
• Gulfstream G650 type rating
• Minimum 5,000 hours total flight time
• Minimum 2,000 hours turbine PIC
• Prior Part 135 experience
• International operational experience
• Ability to conduct worldwide operations including oceanic, NAT HLA, RVSM, CPDLC, and international procedures
• Excellent communication and CRM skills
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and extended international trips
• Reside within two hours driving distance of Van Nuys Airport (KVNY)
Preferred • Recent G650 PIC experience
• FAA-approved recurrent training center currency
• Experience operating in high-profile executive/VIP environments
• Prior experience with IS-BAO, ARGUS, Wyvern, or other audited flight operations
