Corporate Captain S - Gulfstream JBS USA Corporate Flight Department Greeley, Colorado
JBS USA is seeking an experienced corporate aviation captain to provide safe, efficient, secure, and professional air transportation for company executives and other authorized passengers. The successful captain will have excellent communication skills and the maturity to serve as captain who combines sound judgment, strong operational discipline, international flight experience, and a strong safety culture.
Position Summary
The Corporate Captain S serves as Pilot in Command of company aircraft and reports to the Director of Aviation. The captain is responsible for the safe conduct of assigned flights, effective crew coordination, regulatory compliance, and flight operations. The captain will work with the flight department to develop and possibly be a collaborative flight department, remain adaptable in a dynamic operating environment, and support continuous improvement.
Essential Responsibilities
• Serve as Pilot in Command of domestic and international flights in accordance with applicable regulations, aircraft limitations, company policies, Federal operating procedures, and crew rest regulations • Exercise total authority for the safe operation of each assigned flight, including decisions regarding weather and dispatch, aircraft condition, fuel, crew readiness, and operational procedures • Perform all duties required to operate the aircraft including flight planning, permits, customs and immigration requirements, handling arrangements, security considerations, and emergency procedures • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures using established company procedures and crew resource management principles • Lead the assigned flight crew and ensure clear division of duties and effective communication • Coordinate with the Schedul & Command, flight attendant, maintenance personnel, schedulers, dispatch and management to ensure flight readiness and other internal • Confirm aircraft readiness, required documentation, navigation data and charts, fuel quantity, oxygen levels, and passenger specific requirements before flight • Maintain high standard of passenger service, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism throughout all phases of company travel • Ensure all flight crew members are properly trained, qualified, and current in all required records • Maintain accuracy and promptly • Participate in initial and recurrent training, safety programs, emergency response preparation, and proficiency checks as required • Support the development and improvement of flight department procedures, manuals, safety practices, training, and aircraft operations • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times on duty, in uniform, and in professional operation of the flight department • Maintain availability for a variable schedule that includes early departures, late arrivals, international travel, and extended international travel • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate with airplane multiengine and type rating • Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate • Minimum 4,500 hours total flight time, including at least 2,000 hours as Pilot in Command in multiengine aircraft and 500 hours in high altitude operations • Demonstrated international flight operations experience, including flight planning, regulatory compliance, and mission execution outside the United States • Demonstrated experience with flight department operations, including crew scheduling, flight operations, customs and immigration processes, international trip planning, and coordination with international and authorized representatives • Demonstrated experience with all safety and security requirements applicable to international flight operations • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance • Ability to travel internationally without restriction • Ability to meet company requirements for medical, background, and security clearance • Ability to reside within approximately one hour of the flight department hanger in Greeley • Ability to meet company requirements for medical, background, and security clearance • Ability to travel, and aircraft insurance
Preferred Qualifications
• Gulfstream G550 type rating and recent operating experience • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in aviation • Military pilot experience • Formal training in safety management systems, crew resource management, emergency response, or accident investigation • Portuguese language proficiency

Work Schedule and Travel
This position supports a variable corporate flight schedule and requires domestic and international travel, overnight stays, and availability outside normal business hours. Flight activity may vary based on company travel requirements. The captain must be flexible and available to support the flight department's operational needs.
