Job Title: Global Express Captain Base Airport: Dulles Airport (IAD)
The Role
We are seeking a professional, mature and motivated PIC with international experience to join our aircraft dispatching flight department. The Global Express Captain will ensure that all flight operations meet or exceed applicable federal regulations and company standards. As our top-level flight department, Strategy has been providing VIP flight services for our company's top executives for 15+ years.
Your Focus:
• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft while serving as PIC or SIC. Ensure full compliance with all applicable FAA and TSA regulations, as well as company-specific flight standards. • Maintain all required pilot certifications and applicable training in accordance with FAA requirements and company policies. • Adhere to a high level of customer service while demonstrating Strategy's culture of safety and professionalism. • Coordinate with corporate security specialists as needed while planning and operating flights. • Ensure that the aircraft is airworthy, registered, and all required documentation is aboard the aircraft. • Complete facility assessments to ensure the suitability of proposed airports and Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) regarding airport runway, taxiway and parking facilities, as well as FBO fueling services, passenger transportation, ramp access, services and amenities, fees, security, and availability of customs personnel for proposed aircraft operations. • Conduct weight and balance calculations, fuel requirements, weather conditions review, and route optimization to ensure the aircraft is capable of safely completing the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate. Communicate planned changes promptly. • Conduct a thorough Risk Assessment Tool prior to each flight. • Ensures consideration of aircraft payload negation before each departure by either the Captain or crew. • Complete all aircraft operations using pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checklists and procedures in accordance with the company's Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and in accordance with published aircraft limitations. • Complete all required safety briefings following the company's procedures to any planned itinerary, schedule, or overnight location. • Maintain detailed knowledge of the FOM, Strategy FOM, air traffic control procedures, and aircraft systems. • Strive to promote a safe, team-oriented approach in managing each flight using all available resources and best practices. • Maintain a polite and professional demeanor as a representative of Strategy when dealing with service providers, vendors, and the public. • Record flight times and aircraft defects, and at the conclusion of each flight, provide a timely update to maintenance personnel regarding the mechanical status of the aircraft. • Assume any duties as delegated by the Director of Aviation.
Qualifications
Required Experience and Skills:
• FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating and Global Express type rating • First-Class FAA Medical Certificate • Possess an FCC Radiotelephone License • Must hold a valid passport, driver's license, and have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. • Demonstrated knowledge of aircraft systems, limitations, and avionics. • Demonstrated command of fundamental airmanship, including manual flying ability and precise aircraft control. • High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to customer service excellence. • Commitment to Strategy's core values: Bold, Agile, Engaged, Impactful, and United.
You should also bring the following:
• Current flight experience and simulator training (Pic Card highly desirable in a large-cabin jet aircraft. • Strong situational awareness, decision-making, and communication under pressure. • Demonstrate the ability to speak and understand the English language to the proficiency level required by the FAA. • High School Diploma or GED • Experience in an applicable field (highly desirable). • Must have no FAA violations, accidents or incidents. • Must be able to complete company assigned training including ISBAO, MedAire, OFT, or equivalent training. • Must have international flying experience. • Must be able to work flexible schedules and holidays. • Applicants must be able to pass an extensive background check.
Minimum qualifications:
• Total Flight Time - 5,000 Hours • Turbojet Time - 2,000 Hours • Aircraft Multi-Engine Land - 3,000 Hours • Time in Type - 500 Hours
