Role Overview Join a team that sets the standard for aviation excellence. As a Flight Instructor, you'll deliver high-impact ground and simulator training, help pilots sharpen their skills, and contribute to a culture centered on safety, precision, and performance.
What You'll Do • Teach engaging ground and simulator sessions across core, specialty, and enrichment courses. • Build clear, effective training materials aligned with curriculum standards. • Track trainee progress, deliver actionable feedback, and recommend qualifications. • Maintain organized, accurate training records. • Spot training challenges early and collaborate for smooth delivery. • Keep current with all required instructor qualifications.
Preferred Experience • Participation in FlightSafety's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program required. • Preferred: Unrestricted ATP or ICAO ATP license. • If no ATP: Must meet 14 CFR 61.153 and 61.64 (no SOE limitation). • Preferred: One unrestricted PIC type rating. • Preferred: FAR 135, FAR 121, or military training background. • Preferred: 2,500 total flight hours, including 1,500 multi-engine.
What You Bring • Strong grasp of aviation safety and regulations. • Confident classroom presence and effective teaching skills. • Solid customer service and communication abilities. • Openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
Physical & Work Environment • Ability to operate simulator controls, access devices via ramps, and move through training spaces. • Vision requirements include close, distance, depth, and color perception. • Lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally. • Work may involve mechanical equipment, varying weather conditions, airborne particles, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and electrical risk.
