First Officer | Second in Command (SIC) Reports to: Chief Pilot Qualifications • ATP certificate preferred; ATP minimums required.
• First Class Medical.
• Able to pass full DOT background checks and initial and random drug screens.
• Multi-engine experience.
• Physical ability to perform all job duties.
• Prior Part 121 SIC experience in Saab 2000 preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities These shall include, but are not limited to, the following: • Responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated, Federal Aviation Regulations governing the operation of this equipment, as well as the Company’s manuals, policies, and other instructions.
• Responsible to the Captain for the proper planning of the flight in accordance with all applicable weather information and reports, applicable Company policies, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Performing all duties the Captain may assign in flight.
• Delegating functions to other crewmembers only when command of the aircraft is assumed due to incapacitation of the PIC.
• Possessing required certificates and documents appropriate for flight performance.
• Employing the CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect.”
• Continuing professional training toward upgrading performance and abilities.
• Observing the Rules of Conduct for all employees as outlined in the Sterling Airways Team Member Handbook.
