ABOUT US: MIA Jets is a FAR Part 135 / Part 91 charter operator based in Miami, FL, with primary operations at Opa-locka Executive Airport (OPF) and additional hangar space at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (KISM). We operate a fleet of Citation Excels, Citation Sovereigns, and an Embraer Legacy 500, delivering safe, efficient, and client-focused private charter services. We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead our dispatch team and serve as a key operational and accounting liaison at our main office in Miami.

JOB SUMMARY: The Dispatch Manager oversees all dispatch and flight-following functions for MIA Jets, ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations under Part 135 and Part 91. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing dispatch personnel, maintaining operational control, and working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of all operational expenses. This position is on-site at our main office at OPF and reports to senior leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee and manage all dispatch and flight-following staff across Part 135 and Part 91 operations • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Ops Specs, and company procedures at all times • Supervise flight planning, weather analysis, NOTAMs, and preflight risk assessments • Coordinate with pilots, maintenance, ground services, and ATC for safe and efficient operations • Maintain operational control and real-time flight tracking across the fleet • Upload and reconcile pilot trip expenses in real time within the operational system, ensuring accurate alignment with corresponding credit card transactions • Maintain ongoing communication with the accounting team regarding all operational expenses entered into the system, ensuring timely verification, accuracy, and resolution of any discrepancies • Provide oversight on expense reporting workflows and ensure dispatch team adheres to accounting deadlines and procedures • Develop, update, and enforce dispatch procedures, manuals, and training programs • Ensure proper recordkeeping, audit readiness, and regulatory documentation • Assist in regular operations including delays, diversions, and emergencies • Serve as the primary point of contact between dispatch operations and senior leadership

QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong working knowledge of FAR Part 135 and Part 91 operations • Prior experience in a Part 135 or Part 121 dispatch or operational control environment • Leadership or supervisory experience managing a team • Proficiency with Jetinsight software a plus • Strong understanding of aviation weather analysis and NOTAMs • Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills • Ability to work on-site in Miami near Miami International Airport — this position is not remote • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate • Previous Dispatch Manager or Lead Dispatcher role • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) • Knowledge of Ops Specs and General Operations Manual (GOM) development • Familiarity with accounting workflows and expense reconciliation processes • Experience supporting Citation or Embraer Legacy aircraft operations

WORK SCHEDULE: This is a full-time, on-site position located at our main office in Miami. Miami International Airport. Occasional flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
