Our independent production team is seeking a talented and experienced Director for an upcoming sci-fi pilot. This project explores themes of artificial intelligence and human connection, blending suspenseful drama with moments of unexpected humor. We're looking for someone with a strong visual style who can bring a unique perspective to a complex narrative, creating a visually compelling and emotionally resonant experience. Key responsibilities include leading the creative vision, collaborating closely with the DP and showrunner, guiding cast performances, and ensuring the story is told effectively within the pilot format. You'll be instrumental in establishing the show's aesthetic and tone. We need a director with at least 3-5 years of experience in narrative filmmaking, a proven track record of successful projects (shorts, pilots, or features), and a strong reel demonstrating your artistic voice and ability to handle genre material. We're looking for someone who can work efficiently and creatively under production constraints typical of a pilot. Shoot dates are approximate, targeting late September 2024, for 4-5 shoot days. Daily rates are $1000-1500, with a 10-12 hour day. Production will provide all camera and lighting equipment, crew, and location management.
