Are you ready to lead maintenance operations at New Mexico’s premier high-density altitudehelicopter training and service organization? Vertical Limit Aviation is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Director of Maintenance tooversee the airworthiness, compliance, and performance of our Robinson R-44 and R-66 fleet (and related support for AS350 BII model).

We are the only Robinson Approved Service Center in the State of New Mexico, specializing in high-density altitude and mountain flight training, helicopter tours, aerial photography/video, and professional pilot development out of our Albuquerque base. This is a hands-on leadership role where your expertise directly supports safe, reliable operations in one of the most challenging and rewarding flying environments in the country.

Key Responsibilities  Serve as the accountable leader for all aircraft maintenance, ensuring full compliancewith FAA regulations (Parts 43, 65, 91, and applicable operational rules), manufacturerrequirements, and company policies. Maintain the continuous airworthiness of our Robinson fleet and support service work onadditional helicopter models. Plan, schedule, and oversee all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, andcomponent tracking (including life-limited parts and TBOs). Act as primary liaison with the FAA and manage audit readiness, records, and qualitysystems. Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team while fostering a strong safety culture. Manage parts inventory, vendors, and maintenance tracking systems to minimizedowntime and support operational reliability. Support the unique demands of high-density altitude and mountain operations. Contribute as a key member of the leadership team alongside operations and trainingleadership.
