Avionics Technician Location: Philadelphia Area, PA Pay: Up to $40/hr based on experience (Per diem available for eligible candidates) Position Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Shift: 1st and 2nd Shift Openings Open to candidates with aircraft avionics experience Job Description We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support maintenance, installation, and modification projects on helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. This role involves troubleshooting avionics systems, performing wiring and harness work, and ensuring all work is completed to regulatory and company quality standards. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems and components. • Fabricate, route, and terminate aircraft wiring and wire harnesses. • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. • Perform functional testing and system checks. • Complete maintenance records and required documentation. • Support aircraft modification, upgrade, and inspection projects. • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications • 4+ years of avionics experience in an aviation environment. • Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. • Experience with avionics installations, repairs, and wire harness fabrication. • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. • Ability to work overtime as project demands require.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with helicopter avionics systems. • Familiarity with Garmin, Honeywell, or similar avionics equipment. • FAA A&P certification and/or FCC GROL. • Experience in commercial, military, corporate, or rotorcraft operations.
Work Environment Work is performed in a fast-paced hangar environment supporting aircraft maintenance, modifications, and avionics upgrades. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
