The Avionics Hanger 2 Technician performs repairs and replacement of components and system wiring along with system checks and diagnostic evaluations of aircraft systems. This position is responsible for inspecting, servicing, testing, repairing, modifying, removing and replacing aircraft electrical instruments and electronic equipment.
Systems include but are not limited to: power system components; instrument systems; indicating and warning systems; aircraft automatic flight control systems; including auto-pilots; automatic flight stabilization; aircraft compasses and altitude reference systems; auxiliary power plants; airborne communication; navigation displays. Certain duties may require working in confined spaces for a periodic time.
