Overview
The Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP) will provide office coverage in the assigned crew base to offer support to pilots and flight attendants.
Responsibilities
Provide office coverage so as to offer pilots and flight attendants answers to their questions, comments, and concerns Help facilitate the success of the New Hire (Probationary) Pilot Program including: Schedule and conduct new hire interviews Provide feedback and mentorship Keep detailed records in conjunction with office policies Create, update, and maintain Chief Pilot Handbook & other office policy documents Attend meetings with Delta Air Lines management, Airport Officials, & FAA to represent Endeavor Create and distribute important communications to pilots and flight attendants Monitor & track daily delays and take part in the delay resolution process Set-up and tear-down of various base appreciation events Assist with the production of the Chief Pilot News Letter and other company publications Special projects as time permits Performs additional essential functions as assigned by the base and 119 Chief Pilot
Qualifications
Current First Officer with Endeavor Air 1 year of experience as PIC or SIC in part 121 Air Carrier Turbojet Operations preferred Reliable and self-motivated Analytical, interpretive, and organizational skills Ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the Endeavor Air family PC proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Knowledge of the contents of FAR Parts 61, 91, 117, and 121
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work in a typical office environment Occasional activity around aircraft equipment in hangars or outdoors on airport ramp which may be hazardous and noisy Possible short notice of flight assignments Minimum of ten office days during your ACP period (as agreed in JCBA LOA 52), which may include holidays and/or weekends Typically 9 hour shifts, with 1 hour lunch breakMust have the ability to stand, walk, sit and work on computer for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, bend, push and pull up to 40 pounds
