The Sheet Metal Mechanic maintains and ensures the airworthiness of helicopters, including Bell 407, Sikorsky S76 and S92, and Airbus EC135, EC145, AS35, and H125 models. This role performs structural repairs, fabrication, and modifications to support rotorcraft MRO operations while ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer instructions, and company maintenance standards. Duties & Responsibilities This position will work with or without supervision performing aircraft structural inspections, repair, and fabrication unassisted, on multiple types of aircraft as required by FAA regulations Fabricate, repair, and replace aircraft sheet metal structures according to manufacturer's specifications and company directives Perform scheduled and unscheduled structural repairs associated with lease return projects Complete maintenance documentation and task cards in accordance with company and regulatory requirements Carry out routine structural inspections and evaluate aircraft condition Diagnose structural discrepancies and determine appropriate repair methods per structural repair manuals (SRMs) Cut, form, bend, drill, and rivet sheet metal structures, panels, and components as needed Remove, install, and replace aircraft skins, panels, and structural components Perform structural and mechanical repairs in accordance with approved engineering data Conduct functional and operational checks to verify aircraft serviceability Adhere to all safety, quality, and maintenance standards Assist with additional maintenance-related responsibilities as required Pay & Schedule • Hourly compensation commensurate with experience.
