Shift: Weekend Shift (Friday-Monday, 10-hour shifts) Position Summary Immediate opportunity for a QC Inspector with an A&P Technician background for the Weekend Shift. In this dual role, you will be responsible for the efficient execution, quality and inspection of the work scope and for the maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations performed under the authority of the Clay Lacy FAA Certificated Repair Station. QC Inspector Responsibilities • Assists Inspection Department in overseeing aircraft quality issues. • Inspect airworthiness release. • Reviews aircraft records. • Performs inspections of any addition to our 135-operating certificate. • Determines when NDT may be required. • Performs audits of aircraft, vendors, and monitors off site work for following GMM standards. • May be required to train technicians in company policies and GMM procedures. • Additional duties as required.
A&P Tech Responsibilities • Performs maintenance and alteration of articles as directed. • Uses current, applicable technical data. • Maintains proficiency with tools, techniques and acceptable practices used to perform maintenance and alteration duties. • Documents all work performed including references to technical data used on work order squawk form and other forms as required. • Documents all parts and/or equipment removed from or installed on aircraft on the removal and installation forms. • Ensures material has been properly received prior to installing on aircraft. • Verifies material shelf life expiration and calibrated tooling calibration due date • Documents identified discrepancies on Discrepancy Collection Form. • Ensures work does not deviate from technical data unless appropriate approvals are obtained.
Qualifications Education Associate degree preferred; A&P Certificate required. Experience & Requirements • 3 to 5+ years of Quality Control and A&P Maintenance Tech experience • Corporate/Business Jet experience strongly preferred. • High mechanical aptitude. • Ability to read schematics and blueprints. • Knowledge of quality control. • Knowledge of Military Specifications. • Knowledge of TSO research. • Avionics skillset a plus • Strong documentation skills and best practices • Comply with all Federal Aviation regulations, company operations manual, operations specifications, standard operating procedures and company policies & procedures. • Must be able to pass DOT/FAA drug screening, background checks and submit to random drug/alcohol test when required.
