Pay: $43.51–$50.75 per hour
You will serve as an Aircraft Examiner (Sheet Metal Mechanic) in the MRO Production Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Duties You will examine, evaluate, and analyze the condition of assigned sheet metal mechanic systems, components, and accessories for assigned aircraft. You will determine the product condition by identify and documenting all non-conforming discrepancies. You will make informed technical decisions to determine and control the extent of disassembly and depth of repair and processing to only what is required and authorized. You will interpret information from various sources such as blueprints, detailed engineering specifications, and other technical directives. You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO INSPECT, and includes the following: 1) Examining, evaluating, and analyzing the condition of aircraft hydraulic, pneudraulic, and other mechanical systems, components, and accessories; 2) Determining the induction configuration and establishing which technical directives must be accomplished to produce the required product configuration; 3) Applying working knowledge of examination and evaluation processes such as, induction, aircraft inventory, system evaluation troubleshooting, logbook review, technical directive review, and application of engineering specifications; and 4) Interpreting information from various sources such as blueprints, engineering specifications, and technical directives to accomplish work tasks.
