Sol Aerial Surveys is a nationwide aerial survey company that provides a multi-engine platform across North America. The Aerial Survey Pilot utilizes mapping or photographic equipment while operating an aircraft. The Aerial Survey Pilot is assigned areas to fly over and capture images or record data, all while safely operating company aircraft. Pilots are expected to fly in all aircraft-capable weather conditions and congested airspace. The position requires the effective planning and execution of aerial survey flights in various controlled airspace, as well as the overall management of company aircraft. What You'll Do: Fly planes located anywhere in the lower 48 or Canada; operate multi-engine aircraft, single pilot; manage the aircraft's movements and airports cross country; maintain a clean internal and external aircraft; complete daily forms about aircraft and plane condition; work with Flight Operations and the in-house maintenance team on decision making; work with maintenance facilities throughout the country to maintain a safe aircraft; work above 8,000 feet AGL, including Class A; fly flights as long as 8 hours over large metropolitan areas; navigate high-traffic airspace, restricted and prohibited airspace, and the SFRA; and eat lots of Chipotle (probably). Required Qualifications: FAA Commercial Multi-Engine; FAA Instrument Rating, current and proficient; High-Performance Endorsement; Complex Endorsement; First Class or Second Class Medical; valid driver's license; current passport with at least six months of validity remaining at time of employment; legal right to work in the United States; must be able to travel freely within the United States and without restriction to all countries Sol Aerial Surveys serves; 450 total time in an aircraft; 80 hours of MEL at time of hire (this is an insurance requirement and cannot be waived); FCC Radio License; and multi-engine night current and proficient at time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Cessna 310 time; Caravan (Cessna 208) time; A&P time; prior aerial survey experience; CFI/CFII/MEI.
