Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P) Waterford, Michigan (KPTK) $28-$48/hr | Relocation Assistance Available | 4x10 Schedule

Waterford Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician (A&P) to join our growing team in Waterford, Michigan.

We are a family-owned Cirrus and Diamond Authorized Service Center that also supports a variety of Cessna and other general aviation aircraft. Most of our work involves annual inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, avionics installations, and general maintenance on modern piston aircraft, with occasional turboprop work.

This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a technician who can perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision and contribute immediately to a busy, professional shop environment.

The shop currently operates four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday), giving employees a dedicated mid-week day off

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer guidance • Troubleshoot aircraft systems and diagnose discrepancies • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and professionally • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area • Work closely with fellow technicians and leadership to deliver high-quality aircraft maintenance • Comply with all FAA regulations, company procedures, and DOT drug screening requirements • Supply basic maintenance tools and utilize company-owned specialty equipment as required

Requirements

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate (Required) • Valid Driver's License • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Proficiency using maintenance manuals, service documents, and digital work order systems • Must provide basic maintenance tools • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen • Reliable and punctual attendance is required

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of aviation maintenance experience • General Aviation maintenance experience strongly preferred • Experience with Cirrus, Diamond, and/or Cessna aircraft preferred • Experience with piston and turboprop aircraft preferred • Avionics installation or troubleshooting experience preferred • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus
