Job Summary Aircraft Lead must be an appropriately certificated and stamp-holding A&P or Repairman under FAR Part 65. The Aircraft Lead is responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for all maintenance functions within the skill group he/she is assigned to lead. Key Responsibilities • Provide expertise and guidance within skill set of maintenance team • Delegate work within skill set after receiving work cards and directives from Line Supervisor or Program Manager • Maintain ability to work on own work card while assisting and monitoring subordinates • Ensure proper tagging, identification, and location of parts. Ensure serviceable tags are installed on component properly with work package • Ensure properly certificated personnel are signing, stamping, and completing work • Ensure staff is following internal and external policies and procedures. Advise Maintenance Supervisors of deficiencies • Perform On-The-Job-Training (OJT) as needed. Complete all records of OJT completion • Coordinate with Program Manager on all aspects of work progress under leadership, specifically deficiencies such as parts or equipment requirements • Maintain quality work to standards set by company • Monitor work area for cleanliness and orderliness • Ensure all personnel unfamiliar with maintenance techniques and non-certificated persons are directly supervised • Ability to pass FAA/DOT required drug and alcohol program including random testing as required by regulations
Requirements • License: Must be appropriately certificated and stamp-holding A&P or Repairman under FAR Part 65 – Required • Experience: • Minimum 5 years as Aircraft Technician required • Minimum 2 years as Lead required • Systems or Interior experience required • Experience and knowledge of Boeing 767, 747, 737, and/or Airbus 340, 330
• Required Skills: • Leadership of maintenance team within assigned skill group • Delegation of work cards, monitoring work progress, and ensuring proper sign/stamp completion • OJT training and documentation • Quality control and adherence to internal/external policies and procedures • Must have ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Other: • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check and ability to pass FAA/DOT drug and alcohol program with random testing • Spanish is a plus • Any additional duties as assigned by Line Supervisor
