Aircraft Maintenance Technician / A&P Mechanic

Chicago Executive Flight School is seeking a dependable, experienced, and detail-oriented FAA-certified A&P Mechanic to join our aircraft maintenance team. We operate a busy fleet of single-engine training aircraft based at Chicago Executive Airport (KPWK).
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and enjoys working in a hands-on General Aviation environment.
Responsibilities • Perform routine aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs. • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and aircraft system issues. • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections. • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in accordance with FAA regulations. • Identify and address maintenance concerns to minimize aircraft downtime. • Help keep our aircraft safe, reliable, and available for daily flight operations. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required. • General Aviation maintenance experience preferred, particularly with Cessna and Beechcraft single-engine aircraft. • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus, but not required. • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities. • Ability to work independently and take initiative. • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. • Dependable, organized, and able to communicate effectively.
