Job Summary Aircraft Technicians report to the Director of Maintenance and are responsible to Aircraft Leads and Maintenance Supervisors. Must be appropriately certificated and stamp-holding A&P or Repairman under FAR Part 65 and certified per work package requirements to sign for work per customer processes and all applicable FARs/DFARs and applicable CFR Part 14 requirements. Key Responsibilities • Properly execute duties assigned within respective certificate, license, or skill set with high quality of work and time management • Perform maintenance and alteration tasks on articles in accordance with current technical data including but not limited to Manufacturer Manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and internal/external policies • Ability to use Illustrated Parts Manual (IPC) • Ensure familiarity with all tools, equipment, and policies respective to skill set • Properly record and sign for work performed in accordance with company, FARs, and customer work instructions • Properly tag, identify, and locate components removed for reinstall during maintenance process • Return all signed-out tools to Stores before end of shift • Follow all safety procedures outlined in company safety manual and training program • Only operate equipment licensed to do so by company • Ability to pass FAA/DOT required drug and alcohol program including random testing as required by regulations
Requirements • Experience: Minimum 3 years aircraft maintenance experience as A&P required. 5+ years heavy / depot / MRO experience preferred. Boeing 767/747/737 or Airbus 330/340 experience strongly preferred • License: Must be appropriately certificated and stamp-holding A&P or Repairman under FAR Part 65 – Required • Certification: Must be certified per work package requirements to sign for work per customer processes and all applicable FARs/DFARs and CFR Part 14 – Required • Required Skills: • Must have ability to read, write, and communicate in English • Proficient in use of Illustrated Parts Manual (IPC) • Knowledge of Manufacturer Manuals, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and maintenance documentation • Proper documentation and sign-off for work performed per FARs and customer work instructions • Familiarity with tagging, identification, and proper handling of removed components • Tool control and safety compliance
