POSITION SUMMARY: The Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic is responsible for the day to day aircraft maintenance activities, including aircraft preservation and letter checks. This is an experienced-level position that reports to the Maintenance Supervisor in the Maintenance Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Reads, understands and interprets applicable maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing and /or replacing components.

• Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components.

• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communications, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and management.

• Assumes responsibility for ensuring that Aircraft Maintenance functions are completed in accordance with Federal regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.

• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

• Performs storage requirements, to include servicing, lubrication and inspection of airframe in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals.

• Diagnoses and troubleshoots aircraft systems in order to determine cause of defect.

• Performs aircraft rigging requirements per applicable maintenance manuals when applicable • Familiar with aircraft Illustrated Parts Breakdown for identifying replacement materials and components.

• Operates Ground Support Equipment necessary for completing assigned task.
